This is a "real car replica" of the Sox & Martin Concept Cuda as is currenty available (full size) through Mr Norm's Garage. This is car #16 in the Sox & Martin 1:18 scale series of cars, and here is a little comparison "side by side" with the Sox & Martin '71 Cuda AHRA drag car. Notice the 1971 style tail lights & reverse lights on the rear of the new car. Grille is 1971 style too.This Sox & Martin 2010 Concept Cuda has supercharged 6.1 Hemi that is wired & plumbed, the interior is very detailed with carpeting, bucket seats with the Sox & Martin shield/logo script on them (stitching in the real car), plus cloth seat belts, and more. It also has working suspension, detailed 4 wheel disc brakes, red calipers, drilled & slotted rotors, and new mold 20" Keystone Klassic wheels. It also has a new mold scooped hood, just like the real cars do. It's one cool new Mopar supercar.

The real car was ran in both... NHRA (as # Pro200) and AHRA competition (as # SS114) and with no previous Sox & Martin AHRA drag cars produced in 1:18 scale, we decided to make this car the 1st one. This new car really opens up, with "shoe polish" on the left & right door glass and windshield, it also has the quarter side windows up, and a very detailed 426 race Hemi with spark plug wires, tunnel ram, two dominator carbs, fuel lines, throttle linkage, and even a throttle cable going up to the firewall. There also is a deep oil pan, cool can, fender mounted coil, and headers, all under the "lift off" hood held in with real metal hood pins. There is also a detailed interior with carpeting, real cloth seat belts, a 4 speed shifter, plus a 3 point roll bar, and no rear seat. It also has deep dish Keystone mag wheels with good sized Firestone Drag 500 slicks on the rear, and open headers.

These 1:18 replica's have correct style hinges for the opening doors, and opening trunk, plus the correct moved forward K-member. The front and rear wheelwells have been moved / changed, and it has real metal leaf springs, and the U-bolts are there too. You can remove the real metal hood pins for the lift off hood (with scoop), and the license plate folds down - to get at the gas cap. Yes, they are that detailed! Once the hood is off - you can see the power comes from a race ready carburated 426 Cross Ram Hemi, fully wired, plus it has fuel lines, fuel filters, coil, and more. This is all backed by a 4 speed, with a Dana 60 held in with U-bolts and real metal leaf springs. In the above photo notice a roll bar, the tach on the dash, and trunk hold down pins.

Issue #11 in the Sox & Martin Series is the 1970 Cuda Pro Stock. It's truly the most detailed drag car we have ever issued. In the famous Red-White-Blue race day paint, with the red front bumper as ran early in the 1970 season and has over 15 new molds/parts created for it by Die Cast Promotions/Hwy 61.

New parts made include both door and quarter side windows, a race tunnel ram, two dominator carbs, throttle linkage, a throttle cable, cool can, fender mounted coil, the deep oil pan, a lift off hood, the no rear seat interior, 3 point roll bar, plus new deep dish Keystone mag wheels, and some good sized Firestone Drag 500 slicks on the rear. These have spark plug wires, fuel lines, rotating driveshaft, opening trunk (and battery in it), and will be truly be the nicest Sox & Martin car to date.

Production is set at 1,854 cars made as a limited edition for Supercar Collectibles.
